Electricity - The mains voltage in Greece is 240v/ac but you will need an adaptor for UK plugs to convert it to 2 pin. Essential if you want to re-charge your mobile phone.

Telephones - Payphones can be found in the most unlikely places in Greece and all use a card which are freely available from periptero (street kiosks) and supermarkets for 3 Euros. The dialing code for the UK is 0044 (+44 on your mobile) leaving the 0 off the local area code. This includes mobiles for the UK. Using your mobile is no problem and as you move around Greece you will receive automated text messages welcoming you both to Greece and their network. These messages include help numbers for directory enquiries etc.
